After Bible Study one day, my right eye suddenly became really red and swollen.  It was extremely uncomfortable and I didn’t feel good about it.  Before we headed for CG dinner, my care group mate Bryan

Foo prayed for me. He declared my eye to be white and completely healed in Jesus’ name.  Amazingly, just a

short half hour later, my eye was completely white and normal.  It usually takes much longer for my eyes to return to a normal state.  But by God’s supernatural healing my eye was healed faster than I could ever imagine! Thank you Lord! And thank you for praying for me, Bryan!

I was an average student in the Singapore Management University (SMU) and my Grade Point Average was 3.08 upon 4 in my first year.

In August 2010, I became a care group leader. The school term for my second year had just started. I saw an opening for a part-time job that commenced during my school term. I decided to take it up because I wanted to save money to go to Israel and also to go for an overseas exchange programme in 2012. The job had very flexible working hours and it pays well. The company only required me to be in the office on an ad-hoc basis. On top of that, my company understands my priorities as a student so I am not obliged to work when I am unable to. Praise Jesus for that!

Although I had many commitments, I was at rest. The devotional sessions that were held in school always reminded me that my Daddy God is a big God and His supply is greater than my needs. Being a care group leader also made me depend on His grace even more. I know that Jesus is the good Shepherd and He will take care of things that are close to my heart. When I faced challenges, I would SMS my care group members to stand in faith with me that the Lord would bless me with wisdom and a fruitful time of studying. It was so encouraging to see their replies that were full of “Amen”!

When the semester’s results were out, I scored an A-, four B+ and a B for the modules I took.  My GPA for the semester was 3.30, pulling up my overall GPA to a total of 3.16!  These are the best results I have ever seen in my one and a half years in SMU. I believe that the best is yet to come! All glory to Jesus because these improvements could only have been by His grace. He is indeed a God who gives unmerited, undeserved grace and favour to His children!

Testimony: A-Level Results – I Cannot Do It But Jesus Can

My grades for Mathematics were always disappointing. I always obtained a borderline pass. For my first preliminary examination, I scored an E. So, I worked harder. However, no matter how hard I worked, I still got an E for my second preliminary examination. I was depressed and scared because my friends did well, which meant my grade had nothing to do with the difficulty of the Mathematics paper but my own inadequacy to grasp the concepts. I asked my Mathematics teacher if I still stood a chance to get an A for my A-level examinations and she said yes. Even though she told me that it was rare for students to improve so drastically, she said it was possible. Thank God for encouraging teachers!

However, I still felt worried because I only had less than two months to the A-level examinations. I remembered something my friends from care group once told me. They said that whenever I cannot do something, I should not say, “I cannot do it,” period. Instead, I should declare, “I cannot do it… but Jesus can!” I also remembered that Pastor Benjamin encouraged us to speak good things into our own lives because God has given our words power. Praise God for such timely revelations. I kept proclaiming that my A-level results are good in Jesus’ name throughout my revision. My Mathematics revision was also blessed because not only did I have very good friends who taught me, I also have the Holy Spirit who teaches me all things.

When it came to my Mathematics paper, I knew that it was not I who was sitting for the examinations but Jesus. Praise the Lord! When the results were out, I got an A for my Mathematics paper! I am so glad that my results are not in my teacher’s hands or my own, but they are in Jesus’ nail-pierced hands. I thank God that He does not think like the world does. He filled my brain with more than enough Mathematics knowledge that I had no lack. He enabled me, who is weak in Mathematics, to say that I am strong in Mathematics. My worst subject became one of my best subjects!

I thank God for being with me throughout my A-level examinations. I scored two As, one B, one C and an E for my preliminary examinations but for my A-level examinations, I scored three As and two Bs! I want to thank and praise Jesus, for my future is in His hands. He has gone ahead into my future and has declared that it is good. Praise the Lord for His unending love and grace!

Last year in 2010, Pastor Prince spoke about “Walk As If”. I wasn’t there for the service, but I was blessed all the same as The Zone did a follow-up on it. We were encouraged to write our wishes on the “Walk As If” cards given to us at service as a declaration of faith. I took that leap of faith and I wrote that I would walk as if I got 8 As for my A-levels, as if I got into a prestigious double-degree program at the world’s top business school in the States for my undergraduate studies and as if God gave me a testimony to write about Him.

I then pasted the card on my wall in my room, and kept looking at it every day.  When waiting for my results got tough, I especially did this and it was a strong reminder of God’s promises. I was worried about my A-levels because I had always been a very good student and had high expectations to live up to; both my own and everyone else’s.   I did not study as hard for A-levels as I did for my prelims as I was busy doing my university applications. I also made some careless mistakes in my papers.  However, I believed that God is good, and that no mistake is too big for Him to correct. In the 3 months that led up to the A-level results, I was anxious especially in January.

I was fearful and was constantly unhappy because of that. I was reminded of Pastor Prince’s sermons where he mentioned the importance of constantly hearing God’s word, so I did.  It wasn’t an easy time, but as I listened more and more, I felt Jesus’ presence and a sense of peace.

I prayed that my A-level results would be a manifestation of God’s grace, and not of my efforts.  On 4th March 2011, I went to school to get my results. I got straight As for all my subjects, which is 8As in total!  I remember that when I walked up to the table to collect my results, my form teacher told me, “Relax. It’s perfect!” Indeed, perfect in Jesus’ name because Jesus is perfection.

On top of that, I also found out that I was accepted into that prestigious double-degree program I had wanted!  It was a program that only accepted 50 people worldwide!  I would like to thank God for everything He’s given me, and even though the past 3 months were emotionally tough, I would like to thank Him for that as well, because I grew so much spiritually and learnt so much more about joy, faith, and most important, about Him and His Love.   The “Walk As If” card I filled in last year is still on my wall, and it is a testimony of God’s goodness. All praise be to God!

After care group one Friday, I returned to my hostel in NTU full of faith after yet another anointed session. I remember telling God that I wanted to be the top student in my cohort when I graduated. I told God that I wanted to be one of those people who said a ‘bold’ prayer and then forgot about it but remembered it only when the prayer came to pass! Indeed, I did forget about the prayer but Daddy God did not.

The Monday after we returned from the History Maker Camp 2010, I received a call from NIE asking if I had changed my mailing address. When I asked her what it was regarding, she told me that I had won not one, but three awards — Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal, Sng Yew Chong Award and Association of Mathematics Educators Book Prize. The Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal is awarded for coming in first place in General Proficiency in my programme of study and for having obtained a First Class Honours degree. The Sng Yew Chong Award is awarded for being the best student teacher and the Association of Mathematics Educators Book Prize is awarded for being the best student teacher in mathematics in my programme!

When I heard the news, I was simply in awe of Daddy God’s goodness and abundance! I was simply amazed at His faithfulness and how He so freely gave to me way beyond what I deserved or imagined. When I looked at my own abilities, I knew that my success did not come by my own efforts or intelligence but it was definitely God who has freely blessed me! Indeed, this is a year of restful increase!

I want to encourage you to dare to pray bold prayers. Prayers that we may think impossible are possible with God! All glory to Jesus for qualifying me for things that I do not deserve!

On 25 May 2010, I received a phone call that my dad had a minor stroke at work and was being rushed to the hospital. Stunned, I told my mum the news. I felt helpless. At that time, I really did not know what to do, so I prayed. I remembered telling Jesus that I was too far away to do anything for my dad, but Jesus was close and Jesus was near. So I asked Jesus to take care of my dad, heal him, fill him with life, and make him healthy and whole.

I rushed to the hospital and found out that my dad was conscious, but was in the high dependency unit so he was only allowed to have two visitors at a time. At that point in time, he had started to regain feeling on the right side of his body which had gone numb earlier.

When I went into the ward, I took one of my dad’s hands and said softly to him, “Healing and life, Amen.” I did not even know if my dad, who is not a believer, had heard me. What I did know is that right after that, the nurse came to check on him. Shortly after, they wheeled him out of the high dependency unit into a regular ward.

The next day, fear clouded my mind and I was on the verge of breaking down. But every time I felt close to the edge, the Holy Spirit would remind me that as much as I loved my dad, Jesus loved him so much more. That night, I prayed for my dad.

The very next day, only two days after his minor stroke, my dad was discharged. However, he told me that he still felt weak and occasionally saw spots through his right eye. However, by that night, he told me that he was fine. Jesus accelerated his recovery!

On 14 June 2010, my dad went for a full body check-up and the doctor cleared him for work. The next morning, my dad waved goodbye me as I got into a taxi while he got into his car and headed to work. Praise Jesus for his recovery, allowing me to enjoy camp peacefully. Praise God that Jesus is so faithful!

I want to share how the History Maker 2010 camp has impacted my life. I started smoking since 2002 when I was 15 years old. I tried many ways to stop but I couldn’t, I eventually gave up because I am so afraid of failure. Thank you Pastor Benjamin and Pastor Joe for revealing that we are Sons of God, and that sons do not work but freely receive what Jesus has accomplished on the Cross. Praise God that ever since camp, I haven’t been smoking. Thank you Pastors for revealing the power of praying in tongues. Whenever I feel the urge to smoke, I will just pray in tongues and I could feel the strong power inside me greater than my addiction. I know that this is definitely not by my will power but Jesus working in me and through me.

I was truly blessed and deeply touched by God’s love throughout the History Maker 2010 camp. I never felt this way before. It was beyond words and more than awesome!

I am currently studying Psychology at James Cook Australia, Institute of Higher Learning in Singapore. I had my two exam papers before the camp. For one of the papers, I felt like I did not do well enough and was rather discouraged. I had expected myself to do better. However, I chose to cast my cares to Jesus and not think about it. After the camp, I went back to school and got my results. I was really shocked when I saw the two distinctions that I needed to qualify for an Honours degree. Praise God! I could hardly believe it as I thought I did not do well for one of the exams.

Only Jesus can produce such results. This is truly a year of restful increase! Hallelujah!

I always had the desire to go to Israel. My aunt would come back from Israel with many photos and testimonies, making me want to go there even more. To walk where Jesus walked and to see the Bible come alive.

I was sure that going to Israel would definitely be a life changing experience and a worthwhile investment. At first, my parents did not allow me to go on this trip because Israel is very far from Singapore, and the cost was not cheap. I tried to persuade them but it did not work. Only God could drop a revelation into my parents’ hearts about going to Israel. So, I prayed that if it was my time and season to go to Israel, God will make a way for me.

On the day to pay for the down payment for the Israel trip, even though things seemed bleak, I still prayed that I could go and God would make it happen. In the car, my mom took out her cheque book and asked who she should write the cheque to. This was unexpected and definitely supernatural! I did not do anything but pray and trust Daddy God. This was not deserved at all! And this was only the beginning of more good things to come.

A few weeks before the trip, my mom told me that my cousin decided to fully sponsor my trip to Israel! The amazing thing is that she is not even a believer. God really works in ways that we never expect. In addition, my aunts even gave me money for my expenses! Even before going to Israel, I was already so blessed with God’s undeserved and unmerited favour, how much more will I receive upon stepping into Israel! My trip was absolutely all paid for! Isn’t that so awesome?

In Israel, it was without a doubt that I experienced God like never before. He filled me with such an overflow of His love. I definitely know He is real and watching over me like how He watches over Israel. I am truly convinced to put my trust in Him 100 per cent and just rest, letting Daddy God take over and direct my steps. It is only when we are still and rested that He can work in us. And when He works, the results are so much better. This was something that I had caught in the trip. Whatever God has said and promised will come to pass. After all, He is our God. I definitely came back with a love for Israel and on fire to know more about Jesus.

I would like to share about how God has been faithful to my family, especially to my dad in terms of his career.

My dad is the sole breadwinner of my family and he works to feed a family of five. We never entertained the thought that my dad would lose his job. However, about three to four weeks before the History Maker Camp 2010, my dad had his contract terminated by his company as the company was downsizing.

We felt that the monetary compensation from my dad’s company was unfair, considering my dad had secured many deals for the company in the past and had even won a plaque for being the best performer for one of the months! My dad fought for more compensation and things got so bad that they were close to fighting it out in court. During this period, he became very moody and would sometimes lash out at us for no rhyme or reason. However, I had faith that God will deliver us.

At the camp, Pastor Benjamin shared about resting in the finished work of Jesus Christ. He also shared that Jesus has taken all our worries and pains on the cross. I believed that and had faith that God will deliver my family out of this dark period. On the last night of camp, I shared with my care group about the financial situation in my family. They prayed for my dad for a better job with a better pay package.

When I returned home from the camp, I chatted with my dad and found out that he got the compensation package that he wanted, which was almost triple the original amount! Praise God! He did not even have to spend money on legal fees and got what he wanted! That was not all. Before I could ask if he had another job, he showed me a company’s brochure that he got from a roadshow. The amazing thing was that this job is in his area of expertise, which is telecommunication equipment sales. The vice president of the sales department for this company happened to be his ex-colleague from his previous company. When the vice president saw that my dad was without a job, he quickly recruited him into his company. My dad did not even have to look for a job. The job came to him by God’s grace!

I really thank my care group and leaders for standing in faith with me. God turned my family’s financial situation around and showed His faithfulness and grace upon us! Resting in Jesus is truly the way to go, praise God!

I was scheduled for two wisdom tooth extractions in three days. Three days! Most people take about a week or a year to recover from the first procedure. The fact that I was well enough to be operated on again in less than a couple of days speaks of His awesome healing!

When I went for my second wisdom tooth extraction on 14 January 2010, I remembered the scripture verse from Pastor Prince’s Destined To Reign Daily Devotional for that day that says, “Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows…” (Isaiah 53:4) The verse was referring to our physical infirmities and sicknesses. I began to mutter the verse to myself as I laid down on the operating table and felt a sense of transcendental peace. However, the procedure didn’t go as smooth as I wanted it to be. At one point, the surgeon lost his grip and dropped his scalpel on my cheek! But I managed a grin nonetheless, assured that God was involved.

After the surgery was completed and the anesthetic wore off, there was no pain in my lower jaw at all! There were some stiffness and swelling, and a little bleeding initially, but they subsided by evening. It felt really awesome and I thank God for the supernaturally swift recovery.

I want to thank my leaders for restoring that vision of doing the one thing needful, which is to rest at his feet, and for encouraging us to see Christ the Word revealed as bread to us in Pastor Prince’s Destined To Reign Daily Devotional!

Hey Arrow!

The year 2009 was an awesome year for me, and now in 2010, I feel that God has blessed me greatly! Studying at Hwa Chong International School, I went through a milestone exam last year. A few weeks before my IGCSE exam (International General Certificate of Secondary Education), I was down with stomach flu and I missed one whole week of revision. Thankfully, it was by the favour of God that I made up for lost revision time with the help of my classmates.

On the 25 January 2010, the IGCSE results were released. When I arrived in school, I honestly did not feel anxious or nervous at all. All I felt was His peace for me. Before my school actually released our result slips, they flashed the names of top performers of the cohort on a screen. When my name appeared on the screen, I was pleasantly surprised as I had expected to get average results. But by God’s grace, I had achieved a total of seven ‘A’s, out of which three were distinctions!

While all my peers were worrying about their results during the holidays, I simply rested. I knew that Jesus has gone before me and has taken care of everything. Never did I expect the results to be like this, it can only be by the grace of God and His free-flowing favour. All glory to Jesus!

Hi everyone,

I entered an Institute of Technical Education (ITE) last year. In June 2009, I didn’t do well in my examinations. I had a score of two ‘D’s and one ‘B’, and my overall GPA (Grade Point Average) was only 1.824 out of 4. I was feeling quite sad.

Then one day, Pastor Prince preached about God’s wisdom, and encouraged us to read  the book of Proverbs.  I didn’t just read the book of Proverbs, but also verses like “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” from Philippians 4:13. And I also photocopied some past year exam papers to practice.

When I got back my results in December 2009, there was an improvement in my GPA from 1.824 to 2.581. And I got one ‘A’ and one ‘B’ in my examinations. I was very happy. On 19 Mar 2010, I received a “Good Progress Award” letter from the North East Community Development Council & Citizen Consultative Committee. I was surprised that I got this award. All glory to my heavenly Father who gave this award to me!

Dear friends, remember that you are successful because God gave you wisdom and continue to meditate on God’s word.

It has been an amazing A-Level journey with Jesus! Due to my O-Level results, I was posted to Victoria Junior College to do Arts. It was an area which I did not have much confidence in as I had been a triple science student in secondary school. At that point, I told God in my heart, “I’ll just trust in Your plans for me. Your grace will see me through.”

In the beginning of 2009, I felt prompted to join Arrow after hearing how blessed my church choir mates have been. At the first care group I attended, my care group leader Alvin Phua shared about framing our seasons with God’s Word. I took hold of that and confessed that I would see my six ‘A’s come to pass. Even though I thought it was quite impossible at that time, I just said it in faith.

In the months that led up to the A-Level exams, care group sessions and Arrow services were a constant part of my life. I could never have made it through the pressure of preparing for my exams without the constant reminders from people around me, that I was God’s beloved. Every morning before I went to school, I would confess that I had Jesus’ wisdom and favour, and that His grace was enough for the day. It helped me to be super attentive in class the whole day. His Word is truly life-giving!

During the A-Level exams, I was nervous as I had gotten an overall grade of ‘BBCCE’ for my prelims. I would verbally confess over the exam papers before sitting for them and anoint the pages with the anointing oil. After the exams, I just felt so peaceful, despite not being able to do some questions in the Maths and Economics papers. I decided to just trust in God.

When the results were released, I found out I was the top Arts student in my school with eight distinctions! I had scored four ‘A’s for my H2-level subjects, a Distinction for my H3-level subject, as well as three ‘A’s for General Paper, Project Work and Chinese. I was so shocked! God is such a great giver to give us exceedingly, abundantly, and more than we can ask for or imagine! Truthfully, I also realised that results don’t matter. God’s love for me is not based on my results but Jesus’ finished work, and it is His favour alone that will open doors for me. I really look forward to a great university life filled with Jesus!

I had not been doing very well in my studies for most of my JC2 year. Due to some personal issues, I had trouble concentrating on my studies. Midway through my JC2 year, I felt that I’d messed up my studies. It was so bad that I secretly requested to be retained for another year. Thank God, my civics tutor rejected my request. I’m grateful that God had protected me because my decision seemed so rash now.

Maths was my weakest subject and I had no interest in it. I’d always tried to avoid studying it. I had been getting ‘U’ (ungraded) to ‘E’ grades for most of my JC2 year. For my prelims, I scored an ‘E’ even after being given a moderation of five marks. Admittedly, I was worried and fearful about my Maths paper during the A-Levels.

When the A-Level results were finally released, I was relieved that I had scored an ‘A’ for Maths! With the H2-level subject grades of ‘AABC’, a ‘B’ for General Paper, and having also taken on an active leadership position in my CCA (Co-Curricular Activity), I had the honour of being mentioned as one of the “All-Rounder Students” in my school for achieving at least 80 rank points! Praise the Lord!

I want to thank my care group for their encouragement. Especially my care group leader Ireen who kept encouraging me to let go of my pride and to take up the tuition my parents wanted me to get. I also thank God for my parents who were willing to spend money on tuition for me. I had kept the note that my sister had written to me some two years ago and I still read it every now and then. In it was this most awesome precious truth, “Even when you are faithless, God is faithful!” Indeed, sometimes, when the poor grades are so real, it is hard to be faithful. But praise the Lord, because our God always delivers!

About a week ago, I lost my one and only thumb drive in one of the computer labs in school. That computer lab has easily 200 to 300 computers in it, and it is open to everyone! When I got home, I realised that I had forgotten to remove my thumb drive from the computer. I was flustered because all the work that I had done earlier was inside and I had yet to back the data up! I contemplated rushing back to school to find it, but it was a really long distance from home.

I confessed God’s promises on restoration over the thumb drive and prayed for restoration believing that what is precious to me is precious to Daddy God! God told me to cast all my cares on Him because He cares for me! (1 Peter 5:7) And because He cares for me, He would want my thumb drive to be restored! After casting my cares to the Lord, He gave me peace to even forget about the incident.

I did not have to go to school the next morning, so I did not return to the computer lab. But even before I remembered the incident, I received a call from a project mate who said that she’d found my thumb drive! Praise Jesus! Of all the places she could have been at and of all the computers she could have used, Jesus directed her to find my thumb drive. And I didn’t even have to make arrangements to collect it from her because we would be having a project meeting the next day. It was truly God-arranged. Daddy God made it so easy for me to get back my lost item — without worry, trouble or any inconvenience.

It’s really an act of love from Abba! I am extremely thankful to Jesus for being the one who goes all out to make sure that what I’ve lost is restored unto me while I rest in His love!!

Today, I know that even if my troubles are caused by my own carelessness, Jesus is mighty to save. All glory to Jesus for being the most amazing and loving Saviour!

One night, a friend called at about 11pm and she was sobbing. She said she couldn’t sleep and asked me to pray for her. After probing further, she revealed that she felt robbed of her happiness and trust in people due to past hurts and betrayals. I attempted to tell her, in the most subtle way, about Jesus protecting her peace. But it didn’t seem to work. So I started telling her “bedtime stories” about Jesus — how cool He is even in the face of problems, and also how much Jesus loves and cares for her. However, she still wasn’t able to sleep.

I don’t like to evangelise very much, but I realised that there was no way for things to change for her unless Jesus was in the equation. I eventually told her how Jesus wanted to be in her life to change her situation. But He would need her permission to let Him work His peace into her life. And when I asked if she wanted to receive Christ as her personal Saviour, she said yes! There and then, I led her to say the salvation prayer. Almost immediately after the prayer, she told me that she wanted to sleep! It was evident that the peace was there the moment she accepted Him. WOW.

Hey Arrow!  While I was still in JC2 in 2008, I asked Daddy God for an offer from a good university, the funding and grades to go there. As Pastor Prince preached about the power of the anointing oil, I applied the anointing oil on myself, my books, my papers and all my university application materials.  In January 2009, I received an offer to study at the top University in the UK.

However, the offer stated that my course would start in October 2009. Since I had enlisted by that time and would not leave the Army till December 2010, I asked the University for a deferment of the start of my course.  Even though I struggled, protested and tried every which way to convince the University to defer my start date, they would not budge.  Believing that Daddy God had a better plan, I cancelled the offer.

In September 2009, I applied to the same University again. This time, I decided to rest in Daddy God’s free favors and trust Him that His ways are indeed higher and more gracious than mine.  Trusting in the power of the anointing oil, I anointed my application materials and myself before I went for the qualification interview.

However, the months came and went, still no reply came.  During the Arrow service on 5^th December, I was reminded by the pre-service handout that said 2009, declared to be the year of free favors, was not over yet.

Finally, in the last week of 2009, the University offered me a place for entry in October 2011, and I had also been accepted by the college right next to the University’s main library, an important building to me.  All in, it was definitely better than my first offer. Praise Jesus! Daddy God indeed provides for His beloved. All Glory to Jesus!

Hello Pastor Ben and Arrow Ministry,

I am currently pursuing a part time degree while holding a full time job.  My boss had often time and again hinted that he would not be giving out bonuses for the year 2009.  However, I remembered that Pastor Prince preached in the last Sunday sermon for 2009 that the word “recession” also means “a return of ownership for the former owner or possessor” and I have believed for this bleak situation to turn around, that the wealth of the sinners would be supernaturally transferred to the righteous!

During the first Arrow service of 2010 on 2nd January, Pastor Ben declared that “we have dominion over every situation and when God is involved, we will reign in life”. As I came up to the front to be anointed with the anointing oil, I believed for a miracle in my finances.

When I began work, no news of a bonus was announced, but I still continued to thank God for His finished work on the cross.  Finally, on 7^th Jan (the day of rest), my boss called me into his room to inform me of my 2-months bonus package!  This was really a miracle as my boss had earlier announced that we had made 40% losses in 2009. Also as I am working in a Japanese firm, my annual leave entitlement is only 7 days, but in my new employment letter, it is increased to 9 days! I was also informed that I would be the ONLY staff in the company to receive a pay increment from February onwards. It is truly by God’s anointing that has set me apart from my peers.

I just want to give all glory to Daddy God for this is indeed a year of rest and reign when God is involved in our situations!

During the course of my examinations, I ran into many obstacles. I often came out of my science practical exams (something I had never excelled in) feeling hopeless because I was mindful of the mistakes I had made. Other challenges also include my A Math and Physics papers having a history of failing and just-passing these subjects.

In spite of all these, like David in the Bible, I strengthened myself in the Lord and continued applying anointing oil on myself, my pens, my papers, calculator and lab apparatus. I kept running to Him and made Him my pillar of strength while I journeyed through these trying times.  Praise Jesus for He is our Shepherd and we are His sheep who know His voice. He led me to do His tailor-made style of revision for me – doing more practices and notes, and pursuing my teachers for help.

For my GCE ‘O’ Level Examinations in 2009, I have attained an L1R5 of 8 points! A score that I never thought possible! My Prelim 1 L1R5 score is 21 and my Prelim 2 L1R5 score is 15. Praise Jesus for this immense improvement!

I am very thankful for my results because it is actually the same score as some of the usual top people in my class – and I know that I am not as smart as them, nor was I as hardworking. Indeed, my Jesus-led studying was out of rest and everything that I set my hand to do will prosper! All praises to Jesus!

The past semester has been one of great changes for me. I used to be a purely “Sunday-service-only” Christian. After getting back from a blessed trip to a Christian orphanage in Cambodia, I felt a deep desire to get more active in church, and thus started serving in Rock Kidz and began attending CG on a regular basis. On top of that, I also started tithing regularly. As these changes set into place, I slowly found my walk with Daddy God strengthening day by day and needless to say, life took an amazing turn for the better.

Throughout the semester, I worked as hard as how I have always done so for the past semesters. School was not a breeze, with the competitiveness of my fellow Year 4 students working hard for our last semesters, and assignments and tests came by the truckload across the entire semester. I have always been praying for better grades, but the falling short in previous semesters has made me much wearied. There were so many times when I thought that there was no way I was going to be able to score well enough to pull my CAP score up (to hopefully graduate with a 2^nd Upper Class Honours).

Surprisingly, I began to score full marks or the highest marks in my assignments and tests! During the exam period, I also found myself feeling significantly less stressed up as compared to the previous semesters; no more panic attacks before a paper and no more staying up till the wee hours to rush to finish studying. Instead, I found peace in my heart. On top of all that, I still found time to attend CG and spend quality time in church on Sundays, something I have never been able to do during every exam period. Following a sharing by my CG mates, I also anointed my exam scripts with the anointing oil before working on them and submitting!

So, the good news came on results day, when I was welcomed by straight As for all my 5 modules for the semester. Also, in that one semester, I have managed to pull my CAP score from a mid 2^nd Lower Class score to that of a 2^nd Upper Class! Praise the Lord!

I have done nothing more than usual this semester, except to walk closer with our Daddy God, and to serve Him, our Lord and King. Indeed, this is His free favours that I have received. Truly a gift from a Father to a child – not something I have worked for, and neither something I could have worked for on my own. As the Bible says, “those who seek the Lord lack no good thing (Psalm 34:10)”, I have sought the Lord and I have received. This is His love for us with free favours that profusely abounds, and let us all believe and receive! Amen!

One night at 11pm, I stayed in school to print a whole ton of notes in the library and I knew it was going to take me ages to print.  While photocopying the first set of notes, the photocopier machine just hung there.  I read through the instructions, open the photocopier, took out paper jam, closed it, and repeated these steps for about 6 times because the paper would keep jamming.  The technical staff was not around, so I was desperate.  Suddenly I remembered the anointing oil, I anointed a little cross on the machine and prayed in tongues over it.  Guess what? The photocopier started working the whole way! All 400+ pages were printed.  The power of the anointing oil!!

Last academic year, I’ve received ‘not-so-glorious’ grades – in particular, one failed mid-term and its mark even ranked 2^nd place from the bottom. At that moment, it was so easy to believe that I have not prepared enough to obtain better grades. It was so easy to lose the consciousness that God’s favor is TRULY unearned and unmerited in our lives. I did try to turn my eyes upon Jesus but I was confessing grudgingly that “all things work together for good”, instead of confessing with good confidence that my ‘missing-the-mark’ is the qualification to receive the abundance of Grace and His free gift of Righteousness.

However, I received an email invitation to Dean’s Tea Reception – I made it to the Dean’s List and ranked as one of the top!!

A few days after receiving this good news, I received a call from a reputable company for a final year scholarship interview. I went down believing not just for free favors but for ABUNDANCE of it profusely abounding. To my surprise, it was an honor to have the CEO sit in for the interaction despite his busy schedule. And to cut the long story short, I was awarded the scholarship. Double portion of unmerited favor!

Free favor is truly free and a man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven. Let’s not limit our God to what we can see or foresee but to only trust His free favor – step into the Zone – the place where grace superabounds in the midst of our ‘missing-the-mark’ abounds, the Benjamin Generation – 5 times much more. Amen!

For the past 1-2 weeks, I had a sore throat and it bothered me especially when I woke up in the morning.  I had been partaking of the Holy Communion regularly, but I still did not see the hundred-fold manifestation of healing in my throat.

During Arrow service on 3rd October, it was my first time going on stage with the choir for Dare and Arrow services! Yet the pain in my throat continued to bother me throughout the rehearsals and Dare service.  During Arrow service when Pastor Benjamin was led by the spirit to minister to the people, I was taken aback at first because that meant that worship would continue, and for a long time at that!

But it was also then that I just decided to take a step of faith to worship Jesus with everything (with all my anxieties and unease), and shout unto the glory of His name!

It was only after the service that I realized my sore throat was completely healed after all the shouting! It would have been outrageously illogical in the natural, but it goes to show that God can do all things awesome in our lives! He is worthy of all our praises!!

I prayed for a non-believer friend who has a spine problem.  My friend doubted the prayer and kept telling me that it is not possible to be healed.  But a few days later, I went to ask him about the pain, and my friend suddenly realized that the pain had gone and he was very shocked about it!

In the month of August, I went to visit my brother in Boston, Massachusetts for a month.  On the night of 22^nd August 09, none of us were aware of the Tropical Storm warning in view of Hurricane Bill approaching. On the morning of 23^rd August, he was out cycling.

However, I just happened to read on cnn.com. that the hurricane, which was originally heading towards Massachusetts, was unexpectedly blown by the winds up north to Canada! There was not even rain or wind when my brother was out biking, otherwise it would have been hazardous.

Praise the Lord! His hands are mighty to save and protect! Plus we really enjoyed the cool winds, caused by the mild hit of the hurricane on our coast, after being in the summer heat for days!  The promises of Psalms 91 are yes and amen!

I hope this testimony will bless and inspire other students of how real our Daddy God can be in our study life too, after all our life is a ministry for the glory of God.

My 3-week June holidays was packed with CIP, CCAs and HM 2009 camp, and the week right after the holidays was my mid-semester tests.  I realized I had really very little time to study.  At HM, I learnt about how God can be in my studies, and by praying in tongues, God can show me what to study and focus on.  And I also asked Daddy God to bless the time when I was studying.  I thanked Daddy God in faith for restoring and redeeming the time that I needed for studying.

The results came out a week later, and I had 3As and a B plus. I was joyful and thanked the Lord for His goodness.  Truly, He is AN AWESOME SAVIOR!

In the past, I used to spend hours on the computer doing gaming, facebook, chatting, reading wiki, etc hoping that I can be satisfied them. Sometimes, even if I had nothing else to do on the computer, I’d still stare at the screen aimlessly and just waste time away.

However, in this past week alone, I’ve cut down a huge amount of time spent on the computer. It’s like the computer has no more dominion over me. If I felt bored, I would just go and play the guitar and spend time with the Lord until I was satisfied, and I was always satisfied!

Thank you, Pastor, for such an awesome message for Connect 09, which has really produced a heart transformation, and not behavior modification, in me.

I received news that my grandma was in poor health and that she wasn’t eating properly.  I then did something I will never imagined I would, I told her that I would like to pray with her. I proceeded to pray for her in mandarin, in which I had a hard time as I didn’t really know how to pronounce some words like (crushed, stripes, etc).  Days later, my mom said that grandma is doing better and is slowly getting her appetite back. Praise the Lord!

One day, my dad came home grouchy. He said he wasn’t feeling well having a dry throat and bloated. He made a big fuss out of it and soon my whole family was shouting at one another. Finally I got so angry that I put my hand on him and prayed healing over him. I then walked away still feeling a little angry. Moments later he came to me saying how much better he felt and that he felt light instead of that bloated feeling he had all day.  On that instance it dawn on me that it didn’t matter what I was feeling or how much I believed that the person I prayed for will be healed but by simply just laying of hands and praying with the simplest of words and then let go. For it is God that will do the healing. It has nothing to do on our part.

While we were at CG, Serene was running a high fever and was fast asleep in her room. Just before we ended CG, we declared in faith that Serene will be healed the following day. While on our way home, Serene SMSed us to tell us that she was feeling better already! It did not take her to be healed on the following day but on the same night we prayed for her! Saw her on the following Sunday & she looks totally healthy & vibrant again. Praise God!

Later on, Pastor Benjamin called for those who are sick to lift their hands for healing.  My friend raised her hand for healing of her left shoulder, and I placed my hands on her.  I didn’t think to raise my hands for myself, but I just muttered to God to clear my throat as an afterthought.  Praise be to God!  After that I tried speaking and I was no longer Ms. Toad-with-an-ultra-bad-sorethroat.  I had a totally un-swollen throat and voice back to normal!

I had injured my left arm for the 2^nd time during one of my climbing training sessions about 3 days before the Zone concert, and there was a climbing competition I had to take part in the day after the concert.

When the call for healing was made, I responded.  After the prayer, I did not recall feeling any sensation, warm or cold, washing through my arm or in me or whatsoever. I rotated my shoulder. And the pain was gone. Awesome!  I continued jumping and raising my hands up high for the rest of the concert, giving Him all the glory and the praise.

According to my seniors, such shoulder injuries require a halt in climbing and complete rest. Instead, I could still continue climbing with minimal pain the day after the concert, and even got into the top 8 finalists for that certain climbing competition! Praise God for He IS good!

I sat in for the DARE service on 18^th July, I was jumping around and worshiping and there was a pain in my knee.  With my hands anointed with oil, I laid my hands on my knees.  But because I was wearing pants I thought, “oh no, my hand does not directly touch my knee, will the healing power go through my pants to my knee?” (now as i think about it, it was really funny and ridiculous, but that was me at that moment)

Praise GOD, I didn’t even realize it until like after Arrow.  The pain had left my knee and there was no more pain at all when I was jumping around during arrow service.  Thank God that He accepts me for who I am with all those funny thoughts and He is still the Healer after all is said and done!

I have had this condition associated with “problems with the jaw joint and surrounding facial muscles that control the movement of the jaw” 2 years.  It caused me constant facial and neck aches, giving me sleepless nights and feeling cranky.  The dentist said that there is no cure for this but only measures to slow down the “wear and tear” of the joint bone.

I proclaimed I am the healed of Christ’ stripped body and part-took holy communion. I wasn’t even diligent in taking Holy Communion but simply believed whenever I took it.  On 21 April 09, my jaw gave a loud click when I yawned, and suddenly all the achiness and pain left!

Since then, there have been significant improvements – there are no more clicks each time I opened my mouth (which was a real bother); no swelling and headaches caused by the pain since then; and the ache was much bearable and lower in intensity. In fact, recently I don’t remember feeling it anymore.  Praise Jesus!

Deacon Sam prayed for me, I still remember the prayer, nothing fanciful.  Nothing spectacular happened after the prayer, but I knew that prayers have been prayed, hands have been laid and God has worked His healing.

True to His Word, the symptoms just left completely the days after the Arrow service!

Praise God that Jesus has made healing easy for anyone to receive!

Towards the end of the service, while we were having a time of worship, Pastor Benjamin said to “look at Jesus at the cross” and immediately I remembered the earlier example where Pastor told us to set our eyes on Jesus despite the circumstance around us. I began to set my eyes on Jesus at the cross, disregarding the symptom of weariness and the uncontrollable urge to sneeze. Each time I feel like sneezing, I ignored it and focused my eyes on Jesus on the cross.

The most amazing part was when Pastor Benjamin gave an altar call for healing! The moment after Pastor’s hand left my head. I could feel the zoe life of God flowing through my sick body and healing it instantly! The Lord’s presence was so strong that I just wanted to stand at that spot and worship Him.

Right after the prayer, I was absolutely energized by the life of God in me and I was totally different from the “sneezy-and-tired” Kelly I was 30 minutes ago! I did not sneeze at all and the runny nose was not running anymore! Praise the Lord!!!

Till now, I’m still amazed by the instantaneous healing of my sick body in just a split second. I can really sense the power our Lord protecting us. As I fixed my eyes on Jesus, all the symptoms of sickness fade away. Thank you Jesus! Not only was my body healed, You make me realized the power of beholding you Jesus.

I’m currently studying Fashion Communications in Lasalle. I just ended my very final presentation before graduation in May. And because it was the final presentation, there was a lot of pressure. I felt the need to keep up with my previous presentation.

I remember slogging throughout the week, searching for information, doing up my powerpoint slides, trying my best to perfect everything. But the more I tried, the more lost I felt. To make matters worse, I had no guidelines or whatsoever from my lecturer because I missed her lesson. I was helpless and scared. I wanted to believe that all will be fine but at that point in time, it was just too hard to catch a glimpse of hope. But praise be to God for sending Rhema word at the right time. I remembered Pastor Lian saying, ‘What do you do when you believe and nothing happens? BELIEVE UNTIL IT COMES TO PASS!’ And those few words really changed my “I’m-so-dead” to “I’m-more-than-victorious mentality”.

The night before presentation, while I was still piecing information together, I started to declare out loud that because I’m His beloved, all things WILL and HAVE to work out for my good. I proclaimed, ‘Lord, there is only so much I can prepare. And even my best is still not perfect because I’m only human, but Lord, I surrender my presentation to you and I know that if it is in Your hands, it has to be perfect.’ And throughout the night, I just kept praising Him and reminding myself that I am His beloved. There were times when fear sets in but instead of caving in, I started to be radical with the use of the anointing oil, anointing everything I could get my hands on!

The next morning, I woke up with a really bad sore throat. Adding on to that, my powerpoint software crashed on me not once not twice but THRICE! Yet again, I used the anointing oil to my advantage, confessing that all will be well. Before I left the house, I took my grading sheet and started to grade myself with the scores I saw myself achieving. At first, I wanted to just give Bs to all three categories but I told the Lord, ‘I will not settle for second best!’ so I gave myself all As. I anointed the grading sheet and confessed, ‘because I am the beloved of Christ, I can boldly proclaim these grades to be mine! Free favours, abundant grace, supernatural favour, His magnificent glory all upon me. I don’t deserve these grades but Jesus has already earned it for me!’ with that, I left for school.

While waiting for my turn, I remembered telling the Lord how cool it would be to be the fifth one presenting since the number 5 represented Grace. Believe it or not, I was the Fifth to present! Right there and then, I knew it was the Lord’s way of assuring me all will be well because He is in control. As I presented, I was amazed at how I spoke so fluently and confidently, usually I’d shiver and stammer, but not this time. I hardly had to look at my notes even! I knew in my heart, it was the Lord doing His work in me and through me.

To cut the really long story short, I was one of the few in my class who scored an A, my VERY FIRST A!!! It meant so much to me because scoring an A in my faculty is very much impossible. Not to mention my grade was higher than my classmates who had guidance from my lecturer. Most amazingly, the grades my lecturers gave were a mirror image of the ones I visualised in faith before I left the house! HOW AWESOME IS OUR GOD!

Through this experience, I’m reminded of how His steadfast love for us overcomes anything and everything and it causes us to be bold, to proclaim all the blessings that are meant for us. With such boldness at hand, I’m sure we can all ‘charge to hell with a water gun’ as Pastor Prince would say.

I’ve been so blessed financially recently other than this incident since God had prompted me to tithe more than 10% and also to sow into the church venue. Since then, my dad has increased my allowance such that what I tithed is 10% of my present allowance! Also, for the first time (my family never celebrates Christmas) he gave me $300, for my Christmas present!

God’s financial free favors have been abounding in these months and I know that this is just the beginning. Even though it is recession now, our families shall be exceedingly blessed! He shall supernaturally increase us and our families even as we grow deeply in love with Him =)
