Christ for Vietnam – Part 2

Evangelistic Night at CMA Church
On our first meeting with the pastor of the CMA Church, the man told us that he was experiencing stomach discomfort and was worried that he would not be able to preach for the evangelistic service. We laid hands on him and Coach Maddy prayed over him, as An Dien translated to him in Vietnamese. Taking on God’s perspective, it was even more evident than before, of what was in store for Vietnam.

As we anointed the church with anointing oil, we knew in our hearts that lives were going to be transformed that night. The rows and rows of empty pews we now see were going to be filled with people tonight. People who were going to receive the best gift of their lives ever.

Known as the Singapore Singing Team by the attendees, we ministered to the people in song. As we sang “Nothing but the Blood of Jesus” in Vietnamese, the presence of God was thick in the place. It was not about the accuracy of our pronunciation or the intonation of our vocals. Angels were with us in the place and how they sang with us, worshipping the Almighty.

Singing at the Evangelistic Meeting on the first night - 96 souls came to Jesus that night!

An Dien used his life testimony to share the Gospel of Grace, and affirmed the people that every single one of them has a purpose and calling. God foreknew each and every individual.

“The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.” – Luke 4:18-19

As we sang simply “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus” over and over again, the Holy Spirit stirred in the place. Eyes became moist. People started to tear. Hearts were moved.

At the altar call, 96 souls responded and were saved!
