I don’t know about you, but I feel as if the Zone is going to be explosive.

It is not hype without a reason. It is this sense of anticipation for a new beginning, a new level of anointing upon our Pastors, a new level of worship—not just the music, but the culture, the servers and the people—and a new place to draw out the gold nuggets from Pastor Benjamin when he preaches (I always imagine him throwing out gold nuggets during service when he preaches. I have no idea why, all I know is that the Word carries weight and is precious like gold. And I want to grab all that I can!).

I have never sat in a service where the youths are going, AMEN, AMEN! PASTOR, AMEN! as if the people around us don’t matter at all. We were just hungering for the word. We just kept wanting more and more. Keep preaching, Pastor, keep going. We want to hear more about Jesus! It’s as if God made a “regular” Saturday service a Camp kind of service, where people receive and run with the Word of God with glee and abandon!

The Benjamin Generation is rising up, so just watch and see, people! We will be the hands and feet of Jesus, and our Pastors’ armour bearers. We will run with the Word to all corners of Singapore. We will be the light in our various schools and institutions. We will attract everyone to Jesus because we, the body, will reflect our Head—Jesus Himself, the centre of the Universe, the Creator of all.

I wish the whole church could witness what is happening in the Zone and how we are going to explode and overflow! Wow. What happened at service was phenomenal. I felt so free, so liberated, to celebrate my Saviour. It’s as if a

breakthrough happened right before our eyes. We were still talking about Jesus, even after service. We were still sharing about the Word over dinner, our plates untouched in our excitement.

I also encountered someone amazing. For Arrow service, a girl from the Poly Cluster had taken her own initiative to invite her friend, who is hearing-impaired, for service.  She translated the entire sermon for her friend, in sign language! Later, when I spoke with her, she told me that while she has been serving in this particular capacity for main service, she noticed that we do not provide sign language translation in Arrow. That was when she decided to take a step of faith to invite her friend and to be there for anyone else who needed her. What a girl! What a big heart to avail herself to make God’s word available to everyone who wants and needs to hear! You know, it’s not easy to serve in such a capacity when it can get really tiring. Even so, that didn’t stop her!

I was amazed. Our youths are empowered and eager to serve people and they are bursting to do their part, however small, in this eternal Church! Praise Jesus for all that He has done for us to be a blessing to others. This just shows that we can make an impact in the world.

The Benjamin Generation is rising up! Hallelujah!

In 2009, the Arrow Poly youths did a Community Involvement Project with the Spastic Children’s Association of Singapore. Following that, New Creation Church was awarded the Elaine Field Award for their invaluable and exceptional service and support to them. Well done Arrow Poly youths!! We are proud of your generous and giving spirit!

On the day I had my 2.4km run, most of my classmates started to get worried and said that they were going to fail. As I did not want to be affected by them, I walked off to be alone. I started worshipping the Lord, singing praises softly, and felt more refreshed!

Soon, the 2.4km run started for the Secondary 1 boys. Almost everyone started running very fast. There was only a small group of students who ran at a normal pace, including me. As I watched others running with all their might, I wanted to follow suit but I felt a prompting not to. So, I continued running at a moderate speed.

After passing a few stations, I realised that I was overtaking most of the people. But as I approached the last few stations, I felt like I was going to crash.

Hey Zone!

It has been 4 weeks since Fallen: The Zone Musical!

Over the two days of performances, we had 29 precious souls saved!  Praise the Lord!!  We had 2,767 people in attendance and I know that seeds were sown in each and every one of their lives!  Those seeds sown WILL bring forth a MIGHTY harvest! Amen!

In the past few weeks, we have been hearing testimonies of how people who came for the first time really enjoyed the musical and thanked their friends for inviting them.  They even asked to be invited for services in the future!

Here are some behind-the-scenes footages of our very own Zone servers gearing up for Fallen: The Musical.

Enjoy the video!

On the 1st of August 2010, my brother, Edley, came down with a high fever of 40 degrees Celsius. His high fever persisted along with frequent chills, alternate hot flushes and a severe headache for a week. So, he was admitted to the hospital.

At the hospital, the MRI scan suggested a case of meningitis. My family was devastated by the news as meningitis is a serious condition that may be fatal or result in blindness, deafness or brain damage. The infection was already at an advanced stage and the doctor simply told my parents that they would pump in all the strong antibiotics to treat him and hope for the best.

We were traumatised by the grim diagnosis and we all cried in the ward with Edley. It was heartbreaking to watch him suffer such extreme pain. He was screaming so loudly that he could be heard all the way down the hospital corridor.

Despite the desperation and turmoil in our hearts, we prayed like we never prayed before. We pleaded the blood of Jesus over him and prayed in tongues continuously. We took the Holy Communion daily and placed the anointing oil on his head and the IV drips. We did everything we learnt from Pastor Prince’s teachings on healing and wholeness.

We also had people from Rock Kidz, DARE and Pastor Keith come and pray for healing. Shawn, Kayson and Nicolai from DARE also popped by to encourage us. They shared with us from Psalm 23. We were in the valley of the shadow of death but we were encouraged that God has already prepared a table before our enemies to celebrate the victory. This kept us hanging on for the miracle that we were waiting for.

Through this event, my family has grown closer together and closer to God. It has taught us that our Daddy God will never, ever give up on us no matter how weak our faith may be. All we have to do as His children is to open our hearts and hands to receive, and open our mouths to speak forth the victory.

After 12 days in the hospital, Edley’s quick recovery and turnaround was simply a miracle. There were also no side effects whatsoever. I would like to thank Daddy God for His faithfulness and grace upon my family in this time of need. All glory and all praise to our Daddy God for saving my brother’s life! I also want to thank the coaches, DARE group leaders and friends for the prayers, support and encouragement shown to my family throughout this episode. We are blessed to be in this house of God.
