In 2009, my L1R5 was 24 for the mid year exams, and with that score I could barely make it to any JC at all. However, I trusted that any lack in my academic life, God will be faithful to increase and restore over time. Then, I obtained 16 points for my L1R5 for my prelims. However, I wasn’t satisfied at all, as this was still below my expectations.
As I was running my final lap towards my O level exams, I had such a strong revelation of my right of rest as a child of God. The world might labor in vain without God, but when you put Jesus in the center of your situation, He guarantees your success without sweat, for His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Stress had NO PLACE in my life.
During my examination period, I managed to get up to 10 hours of sleep every day and still had time to listen to sermons. Occasionally, I would partake of the holy communion and would also anoint myself and all my exams papers, believing that my scripts and I were set apart for His glory, through His grace. I also declared that Jesus Himself was my wisdom and righteousness, and that no amount of preparation I’ve made or have not made will change that fact that my results will be glorious.
When I received my results, I was completely blown away! Jesus had blessed me with 9 DISTINCTIONS! I had 4 A1s and 5 A2s, completely by His grace! Even subjects such as Chemistry, which I had gotten an F9 for my prelims, I managed to score an A2! Now with 8 points for my L1R5, I am completely spoiled for choice. To think that my results could bring me nowhere just half a year ago! What a way to start my year of restful increase!
God is indeed so faithful! This was so much more than what I expected. All glory to Jesus!
