Hey DARE! Here are some sermon snippets from our recent service with beloved Pastor Benjamin fresh from Israel!!
▪ When you submit, you receive favour.
▪ Submission also brings wisdom. Wisdom and submission are synonymous.
▪ When you submit you have wisdom; you have insight, comprehension or understanding, and you prosper.
▪ When you are conscious that God is with you, you will find wisdom. (1 Sam 18:4)
▪ David was accepted, pleasing and favoured with the people as he walked in submission. As you submit, you will be accepted, pleasing and favoured among your teachers, your classmates, your friends, your family members, and everyone around you.
▪ One key to practicing the presence of God in your life is to not worry about tomorrow, but live in the present in the presence of God.
▪ 1 Sam 18:1-4, there were 5 things that Jonathan gave to David, which is also a picture of what Jesus has given to us:
1. Robe = Righteousness
2. Armor = the armor of God as in Eph 6:11-17
3. Sword = the Word of God
4. Belt = truth, the truth will always bring everything together and hold everything together
5. Bow = in the Hebrew – Qeshth (OT 7198: means “bow”)
▪ This word first appeared in Genesis 9:13-17 where it referred to the rainbow in the sky which is a picture of God no longer judging us.
God has given us a no judgement mentality, so that we can be conscious of Him!
