DARE Service: Born into the Father’s Arms

dare19sep

Pastor Benjamin delivered his own baby at home?!  I thought that only happened in movies, books or dramas. I’m currently watching the Taiwanese drama, “U are My Destiny”, and trust me, there have been too many times when a baby is delivered without a nurse in that show. But in real life? I seriously think that Pastor Benjamin is a hero! :)

I really love the fact that his son was delivered into his arms. I love it even more when Pastor shared that when we are born again, we are born right into the Father’s arms, for Him to love and care for us. After all, we are His property!

At service, something Pastor said really struck a chord with me – everything in our lives is for God! This includes all our exams, tests and trials. In difficult times, when God provides us with a miracle or even the wisdom to get out of the situation, we can then use the testimony to glorify God!

This is especially encouraging for me. As I am writing this now, I have 48 hours left to cram everything into my puny head. However, when I read the notes I have taken for previous DARE service, I realize that it isn’t my puny head that would memorize everything. Rather, God will take charge of my exams and studying, and work in me wisdom and intelligence for my exams!

I think everyone would also be having their exams around this period, and to know that we do not have to trust in our own ability, but in Jesus, it is certainly comforting. After all, as Pastor said, we live in the grace generation, and God is setting us up for success! Be it success in our exams, relationships with friends and family or anything else, God’s blessing will hit us UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT AND CENTRE! God’s grace surrounds us!

Pastor shared about his past, and how his life seemed to be full of trouble, and how his low self-esteem took a huge hit. However, he ended it all by saying that when he was nothing, God was his everything. So in this time of examination when stress seems to be lurking around every corner, just trust that God is our everything and that He continues to uphold us in His arms of love and gives us the wisdom we need.
