Before the Encounter Jesus 6 camp, we were asked to write down our expectations for the camp. I was getting insulted for my height in school so I wrote down that I wanted my problems in school to be solved. I also wanted the Lord to touch me with His love and to overwhelm me with His presence.
During the Men’s Meeting at the camp, Pastor Daniel ministered to us. He prayed for me but I did not feel anything. However, after I walked to the side of the room, I started crying non-stop because I just felt a confirmation from the Lord that He is bigger than all my problems in school and He will solve my problems for me. Hallelujah! I was so happy that tears flowed out as He touched my heart and talked to me. Amen!
On the third night of the camp, I knelt down with several other brothers before the Lord and sang the song With Everything. We sang with all that we had, just crying out to Abba Father. I was so touched by God’s love and was so overwhelmed by His presence. The next day, I felt God’s love and presence again during the afternoon and night sessions. I saw Jesus dying on the cross for me and had each and every one of the stripes inflicted on His body in my mind. I was deeply touched by His love, just like the verse for the camp from John 14:13 which states that whatever you ask God in Jesus’ name, He will give it to you. Tears just flowed out because I felt His love for me. The feelings I felt were so indescribable. I feel so much love for Jesus because He first loved me. At that moment, all my fears just faded away and disappeared. Praise Jesus! His love is so much deeper and greater than we can ever know!
