A dear friend had brought me to church one day and I accepted Christ on that day itself. It was really the best decision I’ve ever made in my entire life. However, the rest of my family members were not saved.
There were times when my faith in God was questioned due to some family matters at home and there were many huge arguments that made my mum doubt my beliefs. But I thought to myself, “There are so many people saved out there, my God can definitely get my family saved too!” I just trusted God that one day, my mother and sister would get to know Him!
I would always tell my mother and sister about the revelations received during church service but they did not seem to care. But I held on to the hope that one day, they would come to know Jesus! One of my New Year wishes for 2010 was to get them saved, and I knew that Daddy God would fulfill that wish!
My sister then started to have an interest to join Rock Kidz when she saw the brochure at home. She asked me to bring her along to church. However, my mother said she did not want her to get involved in too many things as she had to sit for her Primary School Leaving Examinations that year.
I could also see that many things were happening in my mum’s life at that time that tired and wore her out. I was bursting to share the love of God with her. One faithful day over dinner, the topic on going to church came up and I did not even have to convince my mother and sister to go to church because they already wanted to go!
That very Sunday, on 11 April 2010, we attended the first service while my sister attended Rock Kidz. My mum was enjoying the service a lot, nodding her head in agreement to the sermon and smiling throughout the service. At the end of the service, she received Christ! Also, my sister really enjoyed Rock kidz and had enrolled in Rock Kidz’s upcoming camp! Jesus can really do wonders and I hope this testimony will encourage anyone who might be in the same situation as me. When one in the household is saved, all shall be saved! All glory to Abba!
