Ever experience things going your way when something suddenly crops up, making you wonder what is going on? Ever feel as if you are looking forward to something good when suddenly you feel darkness in an area of your life?
When we experience God’s favour, there may be spiritual attacks such as resistance and opposition. The devil throws you lemons or cards you a pack of lies. He may put lying symptoms in your body, place less-than-ideal situations in your life, or whisper worries into your mind. He uses these tactics in an attempt persuade you to come down from your high place of rest, from the spiritual realm to the natural realm, to walk by sight and not by faith.
In times like these, what shall we do? Fight? Flight? Aren’t these familiar answers from the world? Don’t be afraid, because God’s answer to us is to enter into His rest (Hebrews 4:1-11).
You may ask how to have spiritual rest?
Take time to listen to the word of God. Let the word refresh you. Pray in tongues. Instead of focusing on your problems, focus on Jesus and His finished work. Have faith (and faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God) and enter into His rest. Cast your cares to the Lord and bring God into your situation.
Trust that He knows what you are going through and have a confident expectation of Him, knowing that He is in control. Let Him take over and He will turn the lemons thrown to you into lemonade for you. The pack of lies will soon be exposed. Stand firm on victory ground and see the Lord delivering and liberating you out of your situation.
Because when we rest, God works. And when God works, all our cares and concerns are settled by Him. Hallelujah!
Here are the lyrics of the song we sang during service that I felt touched me and drove this message of Rest into my heart.
My soul finds rest in You my Jesus
My hiding place amid the storm
In pastures green You lead me down to lie
By waters still I shall abide
By waters still I shall abide
I shall not fear for times uncertain
I shall not look to my own strength
Into Your hands I place my hopes and plans
My trust is in the blood of the Lamb
My trust is in the blood of the Lamb
A crown of thorns pierced through Your temple
The blood that flowed took all my cares
What price You paid, what sacrifice You made
My life in Yours, Jesus my rest
My life in Yours, Jesus my rest

This article I wrote months ago has in turn blessed me again today. A friend chanced upon this article and read it to me to encourage me.
Serving God blesses me. Praise God. He is really that amazing.
