If there is a stock or investment that guarantees a positive return without erosion on principal, it would definitely be sowing into one-north.
A few months ago, I had the desire to hear God better in terms of where He is leading me to and I listened to a couple of sermons that addressed money matters. One was a sermon preached by Pastor Benjamin in which he mentioned that one of the first few areas to follow the Holy Spirit’s leading was in giving and sowing. As I was listening to the sermon, I felt prompted to sow into one-north.
The second sermon was by Pastor Prince, who also preached that as we sow, we can expect a return — like all farmers who, in the natural, sow seeds to harvest crops.
So I asked God how much to sow because I had a desire to apply what I had learnt in those sermons. And God is truly amazing. The seed amount He placed in my heart was larger than the normal amount I was used to sowing, and I think He did that to enlarge my heart. I remember as I placed the seed into the offering bag, I felt very rich, but I could not explain why.
As time passed, I forgot about the sowing. A couple of weeks later, I received my bonus letter. When I saw the bonus amount, I was stunned because it worked out to be exactly 10 times the amount that I had sown into one-north. I put in a four-figure seed and God, on top of blessing me with five-figure bonus, also gave me a substantial pay raise. I felt really loved when I saw the bonus package because God made it so clear that He has my best interests at heart and His desire is to bless and prosper me. I really appreciate God’s goodness and His amazing love for me.
